One of the easiest ways to reach the Sunshine Coast is by air.  Pacific Coastal Airlines offers regular daily scheduled flights to the Powell River Municipal Airport and the flight takes about 25 minutes.  Facilities are available for private aircraft at both Westview and Gillies Bay Aiport on Texada Island.  It's one of the best sightseeing trips for the money and the views can't be beat.  So enjoy the video and see what you're missing and considering flying to the coast for your next visit.
