Inland Lake Trail

Inland Lake Provincial Park is located 12 kilometres north of Powell River and one of only a few fully wheel chair accessible hiking trails in Canada.   It is advisable that wheelchairs be accompanied by an aid as some parts of the trail may be difficult to maneouver.

The 5.5 kilometre lake is situated in a semi-remote forest setting and supports an abundant, varied wildlife population.

It provides excellent camping, fishing, boating and outdoors oriented activities. The site provides basic facilities for both disabled and able bodied persons. The 13 kilometre wheelchair accessible circuit includes 8 picnic/rest areas and 2 overnight camping areas.  The trail is a crushed limestone covered pathway with minimal grades.

Other facilities at Inland lake include accessible outhouses and a fishing pier. The site and trail system is located in natural surroundings where rapidly changing conditions and hazards may exist.

Persons using these facilities are advised to employ caution and common sense. Also be sure to visit the BC Parks Website for more info on this wonderful destination.
